Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin thinly sliced against the grain
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil divided
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper sliced
  • 1 small onion sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger grated
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 3 cups cooked white rice

Instructions

1️⃣ Marinate the Beef:

  • In a bowl, toss the sliced beef with soy sauce and cornstarch. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.

2️⃣ Cook the Beef:

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the beef and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.

3️⃣ Stir-Fry the Vegetables:

  • In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Stir-fry the bell peppers and onion for 4–5 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
  • Add the garlic and ginger, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.

4️⃣ Combine Ingredients:

  • Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the beef broth and oyster sauce. Stir everything together and cook for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Drizzle sesame oil over the stir-fry and give it a final toss.

5️⃣ Serve:

  • Serve the beef stir-fry hot over a bed of cooked white rice.
